The best way to store any type of hay/forage is to keep it dry in a cool dark place, away from direct sunlight so that the hay will not begin to sweat (especially in warm conditions). Keep the hay away from any possible vermin or in a container which provides some airflow. Damp/wet hay stored in airtight packaging/containers can go mouldy, do not feed your pet mouldy/dusty hay. When storing hay outside it should be stored off the gound and covered loosley for protection from the elements.
